We were in town for a graduation from Marine boot camp and came in for what was supposed to be a quick dinner. After trying the Dragon Roll and cooked salmon tacos, we knew we had to stay longer and try a few more menu items. Aside from the Dragon roll and tacos, I highly recommend anything with their spicy tuna, the teriyaki chicken, spam musubi, and the star for me was the salmon skin rice box. It was chef’s kiss! All of the staff was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Management came out to congratulate our new Marine. Their cook GG also came out and made sure our orders were perfect. I even asked the owner if he could open one in TX! This is definitely a must try before leaving San Diego.

Built a poke bowl with hamachi, tuna, and salmon over mixed greens and zucchini noodles, which was a nice option I do not see offered very often. The fish tasted fresh, and the toppings added plenty of flavor and texture. My only complaint was that the greens and zucchini noodles felt a bit dry on their own. Next time, I would ask for some sauce mixed into the base to tie everything together. Overall, a fresh, satisfying bowl that I would happily order again.

I saw this place open last year and since then I’ve been here at least a dozen times. It’s delicious, it’s fresh and everybody is so freaking helpful and kind. Today I got a medium bowl with half tuna and half spicy tuna. We have cucumbers and sushi rice as the base. I also added crab, and edamame, kombu (seaweed salad), green onions and furikake Rayu helps me today. But I’ve never met anyone here that wasn’t helpful and friendly.

I rarely give five-star reviews, but Fish and Things Poke Bar absolutely deserves it! This place is perfect in every way. The taste of the poke bowl is out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every bite was a treat. The drinks are just as impressive—refreshing and thoughtfully crafted to complement the meal. The service is awesome; the staff are friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience. Value for money is excellent. You get generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and a great variety of toppings—all at a very reasonable price. There’s paid parking right next to the restaurant, and if you’re lucky, you can even find free street parking nearby. If you’re in San Diego and craving poke, this spot is a must. Go for the poke bowl—you will not regret it!
